Col Jones is a department store located on Waibene (Thursday Island). Using the buying power of groups like Sportspower and Betta Home Living, CEQ is able to provide the community a local place to purchase clothing and sporting goods, footwear, air conditioning, whitegoods and electrical appliances, homewares, furniture and bedding.
Established on Waibene (Thursday Island) in 1978 as a family owned business, CEQ has managed this iconic store since 2017. Col Jones services Waibene and the whole of the Torres Strait through our shipping partners.
Col Jones is part of the CEQ group, we are not-for –profit and aim to provide goods at the most affordable price possible. Through our buying power and shipping partners, we remove most of the high cost to customers of shipping these (sometimes) bulky goods from mainland Australia.
