BEHIND THE NAME

Eight Twenty Eight is a veteran owned, woman owned, and Latina owned business located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A divorce after 6 years of marriage and a difficult year with my three children led me to find purpose and meaning once again. I did that with what I loved and gave me joy the most: faith & candles. I began using my creativity and EIGHT TWENTY EIGHT was born.

8.28 is the day I became a mother for the first time and Romans 8:28 gave me the faith that all things would and will work out for the good. Now I make candles in hopes that anyone dealing with difficulties can find the faith to fight another day, the spark from within that will light the way, and the peace that surpasses all understanding.

When I am not candle making, I am homeschooling, cooking/baking, reading historical romance fiction novels, or watching the newest time travel movie. I love a good coffee and blasting music at the top of my lungs. I understand and value the importance of faith, family, and freedom and pray everyone that I connect with also finds their triumphs after their trials.
